PERSONAL DATA POLICY AND DATA PROTECTION

At RUE de FEMME we collect information about all our online visitors. We do this in order to be able to adapt and improve our content and thereby give you the best possible user experience. As a customer at RUE de FEMME, you are covered by the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, which aims to protect you and the data collected about you and your online behavior. Below you can read what information we collect and how we process it.

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone every time you visit a new website. They are used to recognize you when you visit our site, remember settings, perform statistics and target ads. Cookies are very common and almost all websites use them, they cannot contain harmful code such as viruses.

We can further assure you that your information will not be used by or sold to an external third party. Credit card information is sent encrypted to PBS with an SSL connection (Secure Socket Layer).

You can check if you are sending from a secure website by looking for a padlock at the bottom of your browser.

Purpose

The information is used to identify you as a user and show you the advertisements that are most likely to be relevant to you, to record your purchases and payments, and to provide the services you have requested, such as sending a newsletter. We also use the information to optimize our services and content.

Disclosure of information

Data about your use of the website, which advertisements you receive and possibly click on, geographical location, gender and age segment, etc. are passed on to third parties to the extent that this information is known. You can see which third parties are involved in the section on “Cookies” above. The information is used for targeting advertising.

We also use a number of third parties to store and process data. These parties only process information on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.

Disclosure of personal information such as name and email, etc. will only occur if you consent to it. We only use data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with adequate protection.

Protection of your personal data

Personal data is all kinds of information that can be attributed to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process a number of such information. This happens, for example, when you generally access content, if you sign up for our newsletter, participate in competitions or surveys, register as a customer, otherwise use services or make a purchase via the website.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: A unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet or mobile phone, your IP number, geographical location, and which pages you click on (interests).

To the extent that you give explicit consent and enter the information yourself, the following information will also be processed: Name, telephone number, email, address and payment information. This will typically be in connection with creating a login, signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase.

What are your rights?

The right of access

You can contact customer service at any time to find out what personal data we have about you. Furthermore, you have the right to have this data corrected if it is incorrect or incomplete.

The right to be forgotten

You can always contact customer service and exercise your right to have all personal data we hold about you deleted.

Except in the following situations:
- If you have made a purchase on our webshop, we retain your information in accordance with accounting regulations.
- If you have an unfinished order on our webshop.
- You have an unfinished case with customer service, for example a return order or complaint.

Insights and complaints

You have the right to be informed about what personal data we process about you. You can also object to the use of information at any time. You can also revoke your consent to the processing of information about you. If the information processed about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted.
